All work can be purchased through either Paypal or Stripe.

Paypal payments:  You do not need to have an account with Paypal in order to pay with this service, you just need a bank or a credit card.  It is a safe and efficient way to pay for goods online and we do not need to obtain any personal or bank details from you when you purchase work from us using Paypal.  Please see their website for further information.

Apple Pay is also accepted from customers checking out on a supported device.

Clearpay allows you to pay in four interest free instalments. Delivery of Goods:

Artwork is packaged very well, ensuring that your item is well protected and secure to avoid any damage in transit.

Julia Crossland Art uses Royal Mail and Courier Companies which include DPD and UPS.

For overseas customers, Royal Mail Airmail (tracked and insured services) and Couriers are also used where appropriate.

  • Overseas customers note: Any customs tax or duties to be paid are the responsibility of the customer and you must be aware of this when ordering.

  • Dispatch of your order will generally be within 1 - 5 working days.  Please allow for longer during busy times, or if it’s a commission item.

  • Receipts are always obtained as proof of postage when using Royal Mail.

  • Payments must have been made and cleared through Paypal before we will ship in any circumstance.

  • Non delivery: If you do not receive your items within a reasonable time frame then you must let me know immediately. Non delivery is the responsibility of the retailer and I will do my best to help you solve the issue you’re experiencing if this is the case. Sometimes delivery personnel leave packages with a neighbour, in your designated safe space or return it to their depot if they are unable to deliver. Please make sure that you have checked all these options first. If a parcel has been recorded by the delivery company as being left in your selected safe space and it has gone missing, it is no longer the responsibility of the retailer.

    _________________________________

  • Stolen Items: If a delivery has been left in a place without your permission (eg: doorstep), and it has gone missing it is my duty as the retailer to refund, or replace and arrange redelivery of the item to you. If you think your package has been stolen regardless as to whether you gave permission for the delivery to be left there or not, you must also notify the police as this is a criminal offence.

    __________________________________

  • Late delivery: If you have ordered an item to be received by a specific time and it has not arrived you have the right to cancel your order and request a refund as long as you notified me that the order was required by a specific date.

    ___________________________________

  • Damaged Goods: If there is any noticeable damage to the packaging on arrival the buyer should refuse to accept the item.

  • If damage is discovered upon unwrapping the item, please contact me within 24 hours.

  • If your goods have been damaged in transit or en-route, then as the retailer it is my responsibility to make the situation right for you - whether that is by way of a replacement, repair or a refund.

  • You will need to provide details of the damage (please take photographs as proof). Please note: If your goods are delivered intact, and damage takes place after delivery (for example, if the parcel has been left with a neighbour or in a safe space, this is no longer classed as my responsibility and refunds or replacements will not be possible).

  • Your details: Please refer to my privacy policy for full details on how your personal details (eg: name, email address) are managed at Julia Crossland Art.

Commission Art:

  • A commission piece of work is undertaken on the basis that the work is carried out in the style of the artist. I will not replicate another artists work.

  • A non-refundable deposit or full payment (if the price of the commission is below £100) will be payable before work commences.

  • The customer will provide relevant reference photographs and images. JPEG formats are suitable, and can be sent to me by email.

  • I work with the customer throughout the design process providing a sketch design of the work to be carried out. Changes are permissible at this stage. Once the customer has confirmed the design then work will commence on the commission painting.

Please note that once confirmation on the final artwork has been received, I will be working from the chosen design and major changes to the artwork from this stage onwards will not be accepted.

Please be very certain that you are happy for me to commence work on the final piece and to make any changes before your final confirmation is given.  Any changes or additions that are made during the painting or after its completion are done so at the discretion of the artist and will incur extra charges to the original quote to cover additional time and materials used.

  • The price for commission work includes all materials and dedicated time including research, sketch design work and the commission painting.

  • The final payment for the artwork where applicable will be payable upon completion of the artwork.

  • Buyers have the right to cancel a commission work before approving and accepting the sketch drawing.

  • Orders for a personal commission cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable after approving and accepting the final sketch drawing.

Refunds and Returns:

If you receive an order that is unwanted, or you’ve simply changed your mind and no longer wish to keep the item(s), please get in touch within 7 working days with your reason for wishing to return.

  • The buyer is responsible for return delivery, including all delivery and insurance costs.

  • Buyers must return the items in their original, saleable condition in order to obtain a refund.
Refunds will only be made once the items have been checked and determined to be in their original condition, and re-sellable by the seller. Once confirmed, a refund will be made within 14 days.

  • Refunds will be made to you through your chosen payment method. Please note: the original postage and packaging charge is non-refundable.

  • Refunds and returns do not apply to commission art work due to the personal nature of a commission piece.

  • Refunds on damaged items:  Please see above ‘Non delivery of goods/items received damaged’ for more information.

Force Majeure:

The seller or the buyer will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of their obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control, included but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lockouts, accidents, war, fire, breakdown of plant or machinery or shortage or unavailability of raw materials from a natural source of supply and they shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of their obligations.
